Welcome to the homepage of
Walkerburn Rugby Football Club.

Walkerburn R.F.C. was founded in 1884 in the small village of Walkerburn in the heart of the Scottish Borders. We play in the Edinburgh and District Leagues and have a playing contingent of about 25 players. The club at Caberston Haugh, sits on the side of the river Tweed and many kicks into touch end up floating down the river in the direction of Clovenfords! As you drive through Walkerburn on the A72 (10 miles from Galashiels and 8 miles from Peebles) you will see the park and club house by the waterside. As you might expect, our proximity to the river can lead to occasional problems ( see left hand picture above). Scottish weather can also result in a little fall of snow on occasions (see right hand picture above). Although small, Walkerburn RFC is big in heart and huge in terms of hospitality. Drop in when the club is open and you will be made welcome.

We are always on the lookout for new players or social members and visitors to the club are most welcome. We can be contacted by telephone on 01896 870352 when the clubhouse is open or 'phone the Treasurer on 01896 870660 or the Secretary on 01896 870762.

Details of fixtures for the coming season (plus other events) can be found on the fixtures page. This listing is complete up to December but thereafter, we need the results from the first half of the season to define our fixtures for the second half.
